Job Description

New Heritage Properties seeks a seasoned Community Manager for a well maintained mid size market rate apartment community in Monterey County, California. We are a multifamily operator of apartment communities in California that equally values residents, employees and the communities we call home. 

Responsibilities

• On-site Apartment property management with maintenance team and vendors
• Mastery of  software such as Appfolio or Yardi, proficient in Microsoft Office
• Accurate accounting and rent collections and bank deposits
• Issue late rent payment notices 3 day and 30 day notices
• Handle tenant requests, issues and complaints
• Enforce lease agreement and rules of the community
• Assess and act accordingly in an emergency

Skills & Qualifications

• At least two years' residential property management experience
• Compliance with all Federal and State Fair Housing law
• Ability to understand and articulate to residents the legal language of lease agreement and landlord tenant law
• Excellent verbal and written communication with prospects, residents, coworkers, vendors and prior residents
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Clear background and credit check
• Supervisory duties of leasing staff, maintenance staff and vendors
• The ability to climb stairs in apartments and lift up to 15 lb. boxes
