Commercial Claims Representative - Independent Insurance Agency - Base Salary to 70k/year - Union, NJ

• Our client, a rapidly growing independent insurance agency, is seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Representative to join their Union, NJ office. Our client is a respected industry leader offering long-term stability, career advancement, and a supportive team environment.
  
• In this role, the Commercial Claims Representative will work closely with insurers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure claims are resolved accurately, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service. As the agency continues to expand, this position offers excellent visibility and potential growth.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with clients and third parties to gather facts, evaluate coverage, and support claim resolution.
  
• Serve as a liaison between the agency, insurance carriers, and clients throughout the claims process.
  
• Oversee legal and medical aspects of claims and assist in timely settlements.
  
• Maintain claim files, document all updates, and track loss history in the agency’s management system.
  
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal team on claim status and developments.
  
• Notify internal stakeholders of high exposure claims as soon as details become available.
  
• Assist clients with scheduling inspections and appointments with adjusters.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier claims teams.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience handling commercial insurance claims in an agency or carrier setting.
  
• Valid Property & Casualty (P&C) license with expertise across commercial lines including Workers’ Compensation, Auto, General Liability, Property, and Management Liability.
  
• Experience using AMS360 preferred
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Compensation:

• Base salary to 70k/year.
  
• Revenue sharing plan.
