This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer in the United States.

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting cloud-based environments for complex, mission-critical applications. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and ensure security best practices across development and operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, automate workflows, and integrate continuous security monitoring. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic technical initiatives while ensuring high availability, compliance, and efficiency in cloud operations. Accountabilities

• Maintain and manage all AWS cloud PROD and non-PROD system environments.
• Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines using open-source and commercial tools.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Integrate security practices throughout development and operations, including automated compliance checks.
• Conduct security reviews, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with teams to continuously improve DevOps processes and tooling.
• Execute Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices for automation and deployment workflows.
• Provide guidance on automation, compliance, and best practices for DevOps initiatives.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience, including 3–5 years in DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Knowledge of security tools and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
• Ability to automate software compliance processes via scripting.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools, including GitHub/GitLab.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line operations.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum processes, and supporting tools.
• Basic understanding of cloud networking and cloud-native tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance.
• Prior experience supporting government agencies, such as CMS, is a plus.
