Job Overview Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc., located in Stockton, CA, is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team. This position involves preparing detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, institutional, and solar projects, including design-build proposals. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a strong background in electrical estimating.

Key Responsibilities - Prepare Design/Build, conceptual, and budget estimates.
- Execute timely and accurate material take-offs.
- Develop scope letters and proposals for submission.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Construction Department to streamline processes.
- Participate in new project kick-off meetings to ensure smooth project initiation.
- Evaluate drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Ensure accurate cost estimation for profitability and competitiveness.
- Embrace technology and process improvements to enhance estimating efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned to support estimating functions.
Qualifications - College degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Estimating Software (e.g., Accubid Anywhere or EBM).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with RFIs, material take-offs, negotiating, and reading plans/specifications.
- Knowledge of the NEC and local electrical codes is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Preferred Skills And Experience - Field experience as an electrician.
- Strong familiarity with physical electrical design, including switchgear layouts, distribution panels, power panels, and equipment arrangements.
