Position Summary:
Drywallers plan, repair and install drywall to cover walls and ceilings in commercial spaces. Drywallers will also be preparing panels for painting by taping joints and smoothing out imperfections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fire tapes and scrapes floors
  • Helps mix/carry buckets of drywall mud
  • Spots screws and uses a banjo
  • Applies corner bead
  • Executes patches, tearaways and sanding
  • Works on stilts
  • Measure and cut drywall
  • Sand and smooth surfaces for finishing
  • Understanding the differences in types of gypsum wallboard, scribing lines and breaking boards along lines
  • Knowledge of the industry's standards including UL assemblies, and fitting boards into specified positions

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience with drywall hanging and/or finishing is required
  • Drywall experience on commercial projects strongly preferred
  • OSHA-10 is strongly preferred
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Compensation:
  • $20.00- $28.00 per hour based on experience
