JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Hawarden, IA 51023
Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8–9 hour shifts)
Duration: Approximately 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Pay Range: $60 – $66per hour on W2
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
 
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.
Assist with CT and general X-ray procedures as needed (CT registry not required).
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring safety and comfort.
Operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical team to support accurate diagnoses.
Maintain documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and other applicable policies.
Support imaging department workflow as part of a small, collaborative team.

Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred.
Experience in CT and general X-ray required (CT registry not required).
Excellent communication, patient interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a small rural facility setting.
Comfortable managing a varied caseload within daytime outpatient hours.
 
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
 
Certifications:
Active MRI Certification (ARRT-MR or equivalent) – Required.
Valid Iowa Radiologic Technologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required.
COVID-19 vaccination may be required per facility policy.
