The Relay Central organization in Middle Mile Product and Tech (MMPT) is constantly innovating new ways of building distributed carrier screening and detection systems using the latest technology in machine learning algorithms to deliver the next generation carrier identity and screening products for our customers. You will lead the product that is responsible for analyzing, identifying, and removing sophisticated bad actors involved involved in identity and supply chain abuse while protecting good carriers and tehri businesses from bad actors. In this role, you will lead a product and drive a challenging new roadmap to improve customer and carrier experience by launching products that precisely identify bad actors, which trigger their removal, reducing their impact proactively. You will need to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams worldwide and within Middle Mile Transportation Technology to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. You should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources, and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and proactively present new insights in concise and effective manner. You will work directly with partners in engineering and research science to launch new products and features that enhance our ability to identify bad actors. In addition you will be responsible for building a robust set of operational and business metrics and will utilize metrics to determine improvement opportunities. Key job responsibilities - Lead the Relay carrier screening products end-to-end that is responsible for protecting Amazon and our customers from transportation related fraud, misuse, and abuse worldwide. - Drive VP and Director level goals leading to fraud prevention, customer experience and efficiency improvement - Operate within a culture of escalate and debate - Create strong business cases for new product launches and feature enhancements. In process, address barriers through problem solving and coordination with stakeholders and internal partners - Partner with business stakeholders to align on a cohesive roadmap that delivers against shared goals. - Support in working with other product and program managers globally to identify and influence development of new products, features, and functionality - Dive deep into data to identify risk trends to uncover and unlock new opportunities - Document detailed business requirements and work with engineering and research science partners for product development - Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders and management across our organization via flashes, reviews, launches including identifying potential bottlenecks, overlapping work areas, or other project risks - Engage with both internal and external customers to gather feedback, onboard to new programs, and ensure the highest quality of support - Partner across product teams to apply new technologies to your program area. About the team The MMPT organization builds software systems that work across our vendors, warehouses and carriers to optimize both time and cost of getting the packages delivered. Our services already handle thousands of requests per second, make business decisions impacting billions of dollars a year, integrate with a network of small and large carriers, owner operators and drivers worldwide, manage business rules for millions of unique products, and improve ordering and delivery experience for millions of online shoppers. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience as a product manager or owner - Experience owning technology products Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field - Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights - Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement - Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders - Master's degree or equivalent - MBA Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
