Location Description:

The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million  restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide.

Overview:

As a Steward / Dishwasher , you would be responsible for washing dishes and general kitchen cleaning duties to include cleaning and mopping kitchen floors and trash removal. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Gather pots and pans to wash in a three (3) compartment sink or a pot machine; breakdown, spray, load, unload dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area then place them back to the appropriate storage location.
• Maintain chemical detergents in all applicable equipment such as dish washers, pot washers, and routine dispensers.
• Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards; sweep and mop all floors, wash all floor mats; clean kitchen equipment to include but not limited to dish machines, ice machines, pot machines, prep tables, hot boxes, refrigerators, etc.
• Separate and remove trash and garbage; place in designated containers, may handle biohazard clean up.
• Maintain inventories of linen and remove soiled linen.
• Comply with regulatory departments and with departmental and property policies and procedures, to include Health Department, OSHA, Fire Department, etc.
• Complete mandatory trainings, including but not limited to health and safety, as required by the company, department, or other governing entities (e.g. Health District)

This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year of work experience, required
  
• Ability to speak and understand basic English, required
• Food Handler's Card
• Dishwashing experience, preferred
• Hospitality and/or F&B experience, preferred
• Great attitude
• Team player
• Sense of urgency
• Always strives for excellence
