Job Summary As a Senior Sous Chef, you'll play a crucial role in the culinary operations of our campus, assisting in overseeing the preparation, cooking, and service of various food items. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, manage costs, and execute high-volume catering events. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Key Responsibilities: + Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and controlling costs. + Collaborate on menu planning and development. + Oversee and execute catering events. + Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team. Preferred Qualifications: + A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, culinary certificate, or equivalent experience. + Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience. + Experience in high-volume foodservice operations and catering. + Strong knowledge of food trends, quality control, sanitation, and presentation. + Computer proficiency, including MS Office. + ServSafe certification is highly desirable. Specific Role Requirements: + Formulate recipes and create production plans for campus catering, coffee kiosks, patisserie, and pastry pop-ups serving up to 7,000 daily. + Expertise in lamination, chocolate work, bread making, cake production, and general baking. + Proficient in recipe development and inventory management. + Previous experience in a professional gourmet bakery, patisserie, confectionary, or boulangerie. + Exceptional leadership skills to inspire creativity in a team-oriented environment.
